Ranked in the top 10!

Normally the headline is used for the basketball program, but through solid recruiting and coaching the Cats have a legitimate program this year and as a result took down LSU this past weekend.
Looking forward to Saturday play the horrible orange team that has managed to beat Big Blue in football every year since 1986. I am searching for that one key phrase to put on the sign or tshirt.
My first thought was "no need to pinch me.... this is real... go cats.."
I would rather talk about the heart and desire of our team and guys stepping up and shining Locke, Johnson, Maxwell, McClinton, Johnson, Woodson, while some of the allstars on the team have been struggling with injury.
Heres a clip found on youtube of Steve Johnson before the game.

This week as Fowler, Herbstreet, Howard and Corso show up with ESPN’s Gameday and CBS loads up its media crew we all need to show up wearing our blue. A sea of blue and a loud voice can help the defense scramble the head of Mr. Teebow.
Lets stike fast and keep up the pace come on Cats, lets not only win this game lets push our team to another win and Andre Woodson a bit closer to the Heisman trophy.
Imagine the BCS and AP polls on Monday 10-22-2007 when it has Kentucky in the top 5 of both.
We’re already going bowling so that pressure is off, we are playing for RESPECT in college football and more specifically in the SEC another big win will get us one step closer. We’ll be in the parking lot Saturday and if you don’t have a blue shirt on we may just have to give you one from the site.
GO CATS!!!!

Cats 5-0! Are you as thrilled as I am?

The CATS handled Florida Atlantic yesterday and were one of the few good teams in the top 25 that did win. To feel this sense of jubilation about Kentucky football this early in the season is not something that I am used to.
Analysts are calling UK the Cinderella team of the season, putting the CATS in their top five and "buying" stock in Kentucky. I think it was said best last night on ESPN when one of the guys said its weird talking about Kentucky football in the top ranks of NCAA, also this while Corso was reminding fans of our blue chip basketball program by immitating taking a shot at the basket on camera.
5-0 and 5 days to prepare the game Thurs night in South Carolina has more anticipation than ever. The arch nemisis head coach Steve Spurrier at the helm will make sure the gamecocks are prepared. But as we saw with many games yesterday top rated teams are vunerable and can be beat.
To McClinton, Woodyard, Johnson, Lindley, Little, Woodson, Burton and the rest of the Blue Crew give it your all we are behind you dont leave anything out on the field, if we thought beating Louisville or Arkansas was great imagine beating South Carolina on the road becoming 6-0 and becoming the first team in the 2007 season to become bowl eligible since we play on Thurs night.
Go Cats!

Cats 4-0, when's the last time this happened?
Saturday 22 September 2007 - 19:11:50 | bigblue
Other than a few mistakes and missed tackles the Cats looked good today, against a team that is strong and has a heisman hopeful on the team. Which brings me to my next thought, with McFadden and Brohm both with two losses one for each coming from Woodson and his team is Woodson going to be pulled into the Heisman hopeful pool?
UK needs to begin to advertise and get Andre Woodson's name out to the masses, coaches and players know who he is and how good he is, but general public I dont think has a clue. Keep in mind he holds a record of consecutive passes without interception and last holder was Trent Dilfer, think how long that has been.
As fans we need to continue to support the team each game wearing our blue and not look past any opponent, just like I would hope the team is doing. These boys are fighting on every down and racking up the injuries:
Burton - Ankle
Little - Thigh Contusion
Dixon
AJ Smith - Ankle
Pryor
etc....
GO Cats!!!!

Cats Improve to 3-0
Sunday 16 September 2007 - 06:23:32 | bigblue
For those of you that weren't at the game last night I was so proud that UK fans showed up. We need work on wearing Blue to the games but that is for another time. Regardless if it was U of L, Florida, TN, etc... last night was the loudest that I believe Commonwealth has been in my several years as a season ticket holder.
The fans need to keep up the enthusiasm and help the team to continue onto additional victories.
Downside to last night Burton was hurt with an ankle injury and may not be able to play against Arkansas next week.
Upside the entire team is stepping up and playing better than we have since 1977-1978.
Believe it or not we are 8-1 in our last 9 games. With Clemson and Louisville in those wins, we have 6 more nationally ranked teams to play this year and will have our work cut out for us. If the CATS play like they did last night then the sky is the limit.
Thanks CATS!
We'll be cheering you on next week against the PORK of Arkansas.
